June 2022 Newsletter from The Fabric Pixie
First of all, I want to say THANK YOU to all of you for stopping in to see the new layout of the shop and supporting my local business. It has been fun getting to know everyone and I promise that eventually I will remember everyone's names - I am still trying to match names with faces and ask your forgiveness if I need a reminder when you come in.
New inventory has started arriving and I am so excited each time the UPS or FedEx truck stops at the door with a delivery! Some of the new collections received recently are Summertime by Maywood Studio, Mystic Mountain by Hoffman, Misty Morning by Henry Glass, ABCs by Benartex, and House & Home by Poppie Cotton. I have also received several bolts of fall fabrics and many new panels along with patterns, patterns, and more patterns! I like to have patterns to inspire you with the possibilities of each of these wonderful collections, so much so I may run out of hooks for them all. Each time something new arrives I am having to re-shuffle things so please be patient with me as I figure this out - I think I may have to have that handy husband of mine build a few more shelves!
The shop will be closed beginning next Tuesday June 7th through the following Monday June 13th as we travel back to Michigan. Our youngest son Cavin and his wife Mackenzie have blessed us with a new granddaughter! Margaret (Maggie) was born on April 22nd so she is already 6 weeks old. If you have been in the store since she was born I am sure that I have already told you that news and shown you lots of pictures. Grandpa Gregg and I are looking forward to holding and snuggling her, as well as visiting with her parents and her Uncle Lane who is also flying in from Boston for a few days. It will be so nice to be together!
As you plan ahead, the store will also be closed Thursday June 23rd through Saturday June 25th while I attend the Bigfork Quilt Show as a vendor. The show is open on Friday June 24th and Saturday June 25th in the Bigfork Elementary School. There is no entry fee, over 100 beautiful quilts on display, a vendor marketplace, a handmade boutique, and a wonderful raffle quilt. I hope to see you there!
I have added my first class on the website (www.thefabricpixie.com) for Saturday June 18th from 10am-2pm. We will be making a Pineapple "Quilt-As-You-Sew" Table Topper and there are 10 seats available. The cost of the class is $20 and only includes the batting needed for the project. You can purchase fabric from the shop or bring your own to create the blocks, backing, and binding. You can find more details and register online or give me a call in the shop at (406) 826-5892.
To wrap things up, I hope that you all make it to Plains tomorrow for Plains Day. There are a lot of fun activities and great food to enjoy! If you stop into The Fabric Pixie, you can get 10% off your purchases!
